About The Position

AECOM is seeking a Ports and Navigation Project Manager to be based in Houston, TX. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Support delivery of ports and navigation projects including dredging, beneficial use of dredged materials, feasibility studies, and coastal restoration efforts. Contribute to project execution from planning through design and into construction support phases. Perform engineering analyses, design calculations, and preparation of plans, specifications, and technical reports. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including civil, structural, environmental, and coastal engineers. Assist with project controls including scope, schedule, and budget tracking for assigned tasks. Apply standard engineering practices and established procedures to solve technical challenges. Collaborate with project managers, clients, and external stakeholders to support project delivery. Assist in preparation of proposals, technical approaches, and supporting documentation for pursuits. Participate in client meetings, site visits, and field investigations as needed. Stay current with industry trends, tools, and technologies related to ports, coastal, and marine engineering.

Requirements

  • BA/BS in Coastal, Ocean, Naval Architecture, or Civil Engineering plus 6 years of relevant work experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • Texas Professional Engineer License

Nice To Haves

  • Twelve (8) years of relevant experience (i.e. construction, previous work with consultants, etc.)
  • Prior experience with Galveston, Fort Worth, Mobile, and New Orleans Districts or other Districts of the USACE and Texas and/or state projects preferred.
  • Reputation as a high performer.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven experience in business development and project delivery.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Knowledge or familiarity in AutoCAD and/or GIS.
  • Ability to work both independently and in group environments.
