DESCRIPTION: Join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Project Manager within Portfolio Management, where you'll contribute to growth and innovation across our industry-leading portfolio. Working collaboratively with Category Management, Marketing, Sales, and Operations teams, you'll translate customer needs into effective solutions that help make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. Office Location: Pittsburgh, PA hybrid As a key member of the Portfolio Management team, you'll align with strategy deployment teams to execute high-touch, cross-product initiatives critical to the immediate business objectives. In the role, you will represent Portfolio Management in critical initiatives such as large-scale promotional efforts, supplier funded Marketing programs, the North America Sales Meeting and our annual Supplier Pricing Process. Additionally, this role will be key to supporting operational functions within private label management. This role offers excellent opportunities to build strategic relationships within the organization while improving overall productivity within Portfolio Management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, or a scientific field.
  • 3+ years of industry or other relevant market experience, preferably in portfolio, supplier, or project management.
  • Knowledge of laboratory products and applications, actual working laboratory experience, or understanding of customer requirements in laboratory settings.
  • Sales, Marketing, or other commercial functional knowledge preferred.
  • Knowledge of laboratory products and applications, actual working laboratory experience, or understanding of customer requirements in laboratory settings.
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong proficiency in multi-tasking experience with exceptional organization and time-management skills.
  • General business acumen with a basic understanding of financial data and reporting methodologies, various performance metrics and ROI analyses.
  • Strong skills with Microsoft Office applications and ability to quickly learn/adapt to new productivity tools
