About The Position

We are looking for a self-motivated, results-driven Project Manager to manage munitions response services projects for BSE, primarily projects involving the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Formerly Used Defense Site (FUDS) program. Your expertise, energy, and vision will assist our organization in maintaining relationships with clients, generating new business, increasing staff productivity, improving service, ensuring sustainability, and meeting BSE’s munitions response program objectives.

Requirements

  • Minimum BS/BA required, preferably in Geology or Environmental Sciences, or similar, or relevant/equivalent education through formal military training.
  • Five (5) years of experience working on FUDS, CERCLA, RCRA, MMRP, HTRW, and CON/HTRW projects and two (2) years of leadership.
  • Eligible for employment in the US
  • Eligible for government security clearance and/or ability to pass background check
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English
  • Must possess valid driver’s license
  • Must be willing to travel in support of contract obligations
  • Must have knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulatory agency laws, regulations, and permitting requirements
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office products, or ability to obtain and maintain proficiency
  • Be competent and proficient in preparing and providing written and oral presentations
  • Ability to collaborate as a team member
  • Attention to detail

Nice To Haves

  • OSHA 40HR HAZWOPER training and currency preferred.
  • Experience working with unexploded ordnance technicians preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage FUDS projects.
  • Assist Program Manager with technical management for plans, reports, and all aspects of assigned projects including field operations oversight and communication with clients per Performance Work Statement/Contract requirements.
  • Prepare complete and accurate CERCLA reports (including Remedial Investigation/Feasibility Studies, Proposed Plans, Decision Documents, and Five-Year Reviews) and Uniform Federal Policy for Quality Assurance Program Plans for munitions response. All plans require approval from clients and regulatory authorities.
  • Manage and oversee environmental investigations, including the collection, processing, and evaluation of data.
  • Process and interpret chemical, geographical, and geological data.
  • Conduct project planning, including coordinating with and providing technical assistance to external scientists, engineers, and regulators.
  • Prepare financial reports for BSE senior management.
  • Assist the Program Manager and/or prime contractors and subcontractors to recruit, hire, train, and retain qualified and conscientious employees.
  • Conduct contract discussions with clients, subcontractors, third party contractors, and other project specific personnel.
  • Coordinate with regulatory authorities.
  • Implement, manage, and enforce client and BSE safety and quality standards.
  • Other duties as required.
