About The Position

As a Project Manager in Construction at MSK, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and maintaining the facilities that support world‑class patient care, research, and innovation. This role oversees complex construction and renovation projects from concept through completion, ensuring each initiative is executed safely, efficiently, and with exceptional quality. You will collaborate with diverse partners across MSK, guide decision‑making, and steward multiple high‑visibility projects that directly impact the organization’s mission and long‑term growth.

Requirements

  • Experience in construction project management, with emphasis on complex institutional or healthcare projects.
  • Experience working with project management systems such as Microsoft Project or similar scheduling and project tracking platforms, Procore, Autodesk, etc.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret architectural, engineering, and construction documents.
  • Knowledge of building codes, regulatory requirements, and healthcare construction standards preferred.
  • Strong analytical and organizational capabilities with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Understanding of construction budgeting, estimating, and contract administration.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills with internal teams, consultants, contractors, and hospital stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage complex projects in active and operational environments.
  • Attention to detail and strong documentation practices.
  • Leadership and teamwork with the ability to work independently while supporting broader project objectives.
  • Sound judgment and problem-solving skills in fast-paced construction environments.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate project timelines and monitor progress across multiple construction initiatives.
  • Maintain project documentation, including drawings, logs, meeting minutes, submittals, and contract records.
  • Assist in developing project budgets and cost estimates through analysis of labor, materials, equipment, and project conditions.
  • Monitor project costs and support ongoing financial tracking throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Review contractors work to confirm alignment with contract documents, project scope, and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in the development and evaluation of design concepts, constructability reviews, and design coordination for capital projects.
  • Conduct site visits and field surveys to verify existing conditions and monitor construction progress.
  • Perform routine site inspections to review safety, quality, and schedule performance, and assist in tracking punch-list and corrective items.
  • Support procurement activities including preparation of bid packages, coordination of competitive bidding, and evaluation of contractor proposals.
  • Coordinate communication among architects, engineers, contractors, hospital operations, and internal stakeholders.
  • Assist in managing project risks, identifying issues early, and supporting resolution in coordination with the Senior Project Manager.
