The position is for a Project Manager who will manage, lead, and oversee all team activities related to project lifecycle, client management, and resource management. The role involves developing project timelines, preparing contracts and proposals, leading project meetings, and serving as the primary client contact. The Project Manager will also monitor project health, delegate tasks, manage invoices, and ensure quality assurance. Additionally, the role includes mentoring team members, participating in new hire interviews, and developing future business relationships.

  • Manage, lead, and oversee all team activities, including production documents, client management, internal team management, and project financials.
  • Develop project timelines, including phases, completion dates, and milestones, and establish workflow and project plan.
  • Prepare contracts and proposals, including establishing the scope of work, schedules, and fees.
  • Lead project kickoff and closeout meetings and project coordination meetings with internal team members and external design partners.
  • Serve as the primary client contact to understand goals and ensure the design meets their needs.
  • Monitor project health by reviewing project plans, design, budgets, billings, schedule, and progress.
  • Delegate project tasks to team members promptly and provide clear direction on tasks and expectations.
  • Consult collaboratively with the external project team to achieve project goals.
  • Manage invoice processes, including change orders and additional services.
  • Manage permit submittal processes and coordination with review authorities.
  • Provide quality assurance and control, directing technical staff on project issues.
  • Oversee the technical engineering components of the project.
  • Increase the team's overall effectiveness by developing staff and aligning individual strengths with project tasks.
  • Balance staffing and workload through collaboration with the team.
  • Monitor the work of team members to ensure adherence to industry standards.
  • Conduct regular 1:1’s with staff and performance reviews.
  • Initiate lunch and learn for sharing new technology or best practices.
  • Mentor team members across engineering.
  • Complete personal timecards accurately and review associate timecards on time.
  • Develop future business and build relationships with existing clients.
  • Communicate effectively internally and externally.
  • Participate in the execution of strategic initiatives.
  • Evaluate company practices and processes for continuous improvement.
  • Be an ambassador for EPS at industry events and conferences.
  • Achieve a 60-70% Billable Utilization Rate.
  • Manage $500k-$1.8M in projects and up to 4-8 staff members.
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil, Environmental, or related Engineering field.
  • Professional Engineering License.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience with land development projects.
  • Proven record of success as a project engineer with a solid technical background.
  • Professional knowledge of Microsoft Office, Civil 3D, Bluebeam, and Pipe Networks.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of emotional intelligence with the ability to interface both in person and remotely.
  • Ability to closely monitor project progress from a financial and schedule perspective.
  • Strong understanding of civil engineering design processes and obtaining agency approvals.
  • Exceptional organization skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to work accurately and prioritize multiple tasks.
