Join us as a Project Manager NI Your main responsibilities As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for full cycle project management of high-quality, financially successful new installations. You will collaborate with sales representatives, field superintendents and customers to meet specifications and resolve technical issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Project Management or Finance
  • 3-7 years proven project management experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
  • Experience in the construction, elevator or related building systems industry
  • Familiarity with SAP, Lotus Notes, and project management software like Procore
  • Ability to read schematics and blueprints
  • Strong financial acumen

Responsibilities

  • Project Management - Oversee new installation projects to ensure efficient, profitable close-out.
  • Provide approved submittals and ensure timely delivery of materials from vendors.
  • Collaborate with the Field Superintendents to monitor job progress and address potential delays with action plans.
  • Partner with Engineering and local & regional management for successful completion of the projectt.
  • Maintain vendor relationships and assist with monthly forecasting and budget planning.
  • Identify change notice opportunities, prepare paperwork, and secure customer approvals before work begins.
  • Financial & Change Order Support - Monitor job financial performance, track invoice collections, bad debt and process progress payments..
  • Facilitate with project scope, prepare change order paperwork, and track changes in SAP to ensure proper documentation.
  • Ensure projects are invoiced and achieve 90% - 95% payment before elevator turnover (dependent on contractual agreement).
  • Customer Relationship Management - Establish and maintain critical customer relationships to support project success.
  • Submit certified payroll, including tracking worker hours, wages, and fringe benefits in accordance with prevailing wage laws.
  • Quality & Safety Compliance - Ensure compliance with customer and Schindler requirements for quality, performance, and passenger safety.
