About The Position

Eaton’s ARS division is currently seeking a Project Manager - New Product Development to join the team. This is a hybrid role with approximately 10% travel, based at the Fayetteville, NC location. Relocation assistance is available! The expected annual salary range for this role is $97000 - $143000 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. What you’ll do: The Project Manager is responsible for management of new product development for Low voltage MCC’s, Power Factor Correction Assemblies within our Power Distribution and Control Division. You will manage the project planning, execution, scope, budget, risk, and issue tracking. This will include the use of a phase-gate process, Design and Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA's), Multi-Generational Product Planning (MGPP), SIOP input, and industrialization. In addition, this role will assist engineering in product transitioning. Essential Responsibilities Include: Project Leadership: Lead Integrated Product Teams (IPT) across assigned projects, promoting collaboration and rapid issue resolution while providing feedback on performance indicators. Establish objectives and provides direction to project teams related to customer concerns, scope changes, and risk assessment. Manage the Profit and Loss (P&L) of NPD projects; hold Responsibility, Authority, and Accountability (RAA) for scope delivery and successful execution across technical, schedule, cost, and quality commitments. Coordinate project risks and requirements by planning, controlling, integrating activities and deliverables, and measuring performance to ensure objectives are achieved. Manage internal customer communications and collaborates cross functionally to plan and execute deliverables required for successful product launches. Reporting: Ensure standard program management processes are applied, including coordinating PM reviews and preparing and publishing metrics and reports. Maintain project metrics for quality, technical performance, and delivery throughout all PROLaunch phases. Provide regular Program Status Reports (Green/Yellow/Red) addressing milestones, risks, and issues at product line and divisional levels. Program Planning: Support development of business proposals and executes the overall program plan for annual road mapping activities. Serve as the PROLaunch champion for the product line, leading annual planning, assessments, and training. What will make you successful? A successful candidate brings strong analytical skills and business acumen, paired with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively, including presentations to senior leadership and customers. You excel in a matrixed, cross functional environment, collaborating to achieve program objectives and managing third party contractual relationships. You are comfortable initiating and presenting well reasoned recommendations for senior leadership review. You are proficient in project management methodologies and tools, such as Microsoft Project, with a track record of successfully delivering complex engineering projects. You stay current on advancements in the project management field and act as a change agent by evaluating and implementing new tools and practices to improve quality and execution efficiency. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in engineering, manufacturing, project management
  • PMP Certification, or the ability to obtain within 1 year of hire

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline
  • Experience with New Product Development and stage-gate process
  • Engineering or manufacturing experience related to power distribution equipment, including motor control centers
  • Experience working in an engineered to order (ETO) plant environment
