Join us as a Project Manager - New Installation Your main responsibilities As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for full cycle project management of high-quality, financially successful new installations. You will collaborate with sales representatives, field superintendents and customers to meet specifications and resolve technical issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred OR 3 years of technical experience in the elevator industry or related field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel
Nice To Haves
- Experience in the construction, elevator or related building systems industry
- Familiarity with SAP, Lotus Notes, and project management software like Procore
- Ability to read schematics and blueprints
- Strong financial acumen
Responsibilities
- Oversee new installation projects to ensure efficient, profitable close-out
- Provide approved submittals and ensure timely delivery of materials from vendors
- Collaborate with the Field Superintendents to monitor job progress and address potential delays with action plans
- Partner with Engineering and local & regional management for successful completion of the project
- Maintain vendor relationships and assist with monthly forecasting and budget planning
- Identify change notice opportunities, prepare paperwork, and secure customer approvals before work begins
- Manage project revenue, size, and adherence to fulfillment guidelines
- Ensure timely invoicing, targeting 90% payment prior to elevator turnover
- Establish and maintain critical customer relationships to support project success.
- Submit certified payroll, including tracking worker hours, wages, and fringe benefits in accordance with prevailing wage laws
- Ensure compliance with customer and Schindler requirements for quality, performance, and passenger safety
