Job Summary: The National Project Manager is responsible for the end-to-end execution of complex, multi-site projects across Mersino’s national footprint, including dewatering, bypass pumping, trenching, and power generation initiatives. This role requires extensive travel (75–100%) and a strong field presence to ensure operational excellence, safety compliance, and customer satisfaction across diverse job sites. This individual serves as the primary operational leader on assigned projects, overseeing planning, resource allocation, execution, and financial performance. The National Project Manager must operate with a high level of autonomy while collaborating cross-functionally with branch leadership, sales, engineering, and field teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and without incident.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, construction engineering or related field, or an equivalent amount of experience in construction project management
  • Knowledge and understanding of budgets, cost accounting, estimating, bidding procedures, and contract documents
  • Knowledge of OSHA and safety regulations
  • Supervisory experience in managing multiple teams
  • Skills in workflow analysis and management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and documentation skills
  • Excellent leadership and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read schematics, blueprints and/or technical manuals
  • Ability to work effectively with others
  • Ability to multi-task in a changing environment
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet job requirements
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Requires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, and Power Point is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage national, multi-location projects from mobilization through closeout
  • Maintain a consistent on-site presence to ensure proper execution, safety compliance, and alignment with project specifications
  • Coordinate and deploy personnel, equipment, and materials across multiple regions
  • Partner with Crew Leaders and field teams to resolve operational challenges and optimize performance
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, contractors, and project stakeholders
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Participate in progress meetings, issue resolution discussions, and executive-level updates as needed
  • Manage project budgets, forecasting, and cost controls to ensure profitability and financial accuracy
  • Oversee inventory allocation and utilization within internal systems (MDI) to ensure proper billing
  • Identify opportunities to expand scope, upsell services, and drive incremental revenue
  • Ensure all contracts, documentation, and project records are accurate, complete, and compliant prior to and during execution
  • Maintain timely and accurate reporting, including daily field reports and project updates
  • Enforce adherence to all OSHA, environmental, and company safety standards in partnership with the Safety Department
  • Work closely with Sales, Estimating, Engineering, and Branch Leadership to support project planning and execution
  • Contribute to bidding, estimating, and proposal development for complex projects
  • Support collections and project closeout processes to ensure full lifecycle accountability
  • Travel 75–100% nationally to support active projects, including extended time on-site as required
  • Maintain flexibility to respond to emergency response projects and time-sensitive deployments
