HII - Mission Technologies is seeking a visionary Software Engineering Manager to lead the design and delivery of the Joint Aircrew Data Enterprise (JADE). JADE will integrate existing tools and develop new applications to provide a streamlined automation tool that coordinates the activities of flying units such as flight scheduling, aircraft maintenance, qualification & currency training and management of aircrew standardization and evaluation program. You will lead software development teams, engage directly with government stakeholders, and bring innovation to life through scalable, mission-ready applications. This role requires on site work in Mary Esther, FL and cannot be done remotely. Requirements

4 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelors in related field; 2 years relevant progressive experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 8 years relevant progressive experience.
Relevant industry certifications (as applicable).
Prior experience using AFSOC scheduling systems such as PEX or GTIMS preferred
Familiarity with Envision and ARTEMIS.
Proficiency with specialized tools or software aligned to the role.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
Active Secret government security clearance required to start.

Nice To Haves

6 years relevant experience with bachelor’s degree in related field.
PMP certification.
Ruby on Rails web application framework familiarity.
Prior experience with migrating and integrating R&D projects into an operational system

Responsibilities

Lead and direct one or more project teams engaged in the design, implementation and modification of software development projects.
Prepares project execution plan and identifies appropriate technical and business resources needed for the team.
Collaborate with internal product and engineering team and government stakeholders to shape product direction and ensure requirements are met.
Collaborate with the development team to plan, task, and execute sprint iterations and be able to get hands-on with the software team during development and testing cycles
Interface with end users to conduct user story interviews, continue application requirements decomposition, and articulate user stories and requirements to development team.
Ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and meet technical and scope requirements of the assignment.
Ensure alignment across cross functional teams and lead regular progress reviews.
Manage scope, change control, and risks.
Mentor technical staff and foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous learning.
