About The Position

AttainX, Inc. is in search of a highly energetic Mechanical Project Manager who has new construction and renovation real property facility experience. The selected candidate will oversee projects on a recurring basis that includes work on utilities and other mechanical systems for large industrial buildings, multi-story office buildings and other facilities of comparable size and complexity for our government client.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or Construction Management from an accredited university or college.
  • 4+ Years of Mechanical Engineering Project Management Experience, which includes work on utilities, mechanical systems such as heating, ventilation, HVAC air conditioning, water, and sewage (plumbing), fire suppression, control, electrical circuitry and alarm systems.
  • Experienced with information management programs, computer aided design and drafting (CADD) programs, project tracking programs to solve engineering problems and facilitate work.
  • Experienced with supervising employees, managing contractors and vendors.
  • Background performing pre-construction site surveys, maintain surveillance over construction contractors to ensure compliance with specifications, schedules etc. and review and record as-built drawings the end of construction.
  • Experienced with programming/base development, design and/or operations and maintenance (O&M) functions..
  • Ability to prepare and review designs for a variety of real property facilities, construction projects to determine design criteria, total cost estimates, time schedules, preparing architectural and engineering (A&E) statements of work.
  • Must be able to provide programming in support of base development for operations and maintenance (O&M), military construction programs (MCP), non-appropriated fund (NAF), military family housing (MFH) etc. to include validating requirements, performing economic analysis, and coordinating with installation facilities board.
  • Experienced with providing a wide range of engineering duties surrounding the O&M functions to encompass maintenance, repair, upgrade, and operation of a surrounding a variety of infrastructure facilities and utilities.
  • Effective verbal, project coordination and written communication skills.
  • Must be a US Citizen with an Active Secret Clearance.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office.
  • Expertise in Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) software.
  • Expertise in Information Management Programs and Project Tracking Programs to solve engineering problems and facilitating work.
  • Expertise in Preparing, presenting, and reviewing designs of real property.
  • Mechanical Engineering expertise with utilities, mechanical systems such as heating, ventilation, HVAC air conditioning, water, and sewage (plumbing), fire suppression, control, electrical circuitry, and alarm systems.
  • Participation in and surveillance utilization over Simplified Acquisition Base Engineering Requirements (SABER).

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a professional mechanical engineer, performing construction management and monitoring duties in support of a military installation.
  • Monitors and/or manage projects for new construction, renovations, and improvements to real property facilities, including utility systems, utilizing a professional knowledge of mechanical engineering.
  • Oversee projects which on a recurring basis include work on utilities and other mechanical systems for large industrial buildings, multi-story office buildings, and other facilities of comparable size and complexity. Mechanical systems include heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC); water and sewage (plumbing); fire suppression, control, and alarm systems; related electrical circuitry; etc.
  • Perform detailed pre-construction site surveys.
  • Review and record as-built drawings at the end of construction.
  • Maintain surveillance over construction contractors to ensure overall compliance with contract specifications, schedules, etc.
  • Participate in and/or surveillance over Simplified Acquisition Base Engineering Requirements (SABER) contracted work.
  • Assist with evaluating construction bids.
  • Develop and/or review specifications and schedules and negotiates for utility services for the construction period.
  • Inspect and/or oversee inspection of construction for compliance and resolve differences with contractors.
  • Prepare/review change orders prior to contract modification.
  • Perform work in the programming/base development, design, and/or operations and maintenance (O&M) functions.
  • Prepare/review designs for a variety of real property facilities, construction projects, determining design criteria, putting together cost estimates and time schedules, preparing architectural and engineering (A&E) statements of work, etc.
  • Perform requirements programming in support of base development for operations and maintenance (O&M), military construction programs (MCP), non-appropriated fund (NAF), military family housing (MFH), etc. to include validating requirements, performing economic analyses, and coordinating with the installation facilities board.
  • Provide a wide range of engineering duties surrounding O&M functions to encompass the maintenance, repair, upgrade, and operation of a variety of infrastructure facilities and utilities.
  • Comply with health, safety, and environmental rules and procedures and perform work in a manner that enhances the safety of the work environment.
  • Ensure federal, state, and local codes concerning health, safety, and the environment are strictly adhered to in the programming, design, and construction of real property facilities.
