About The Position

Our client is a leading North American energy company at the forefront of power generation technology, committed to providing clean, reliable, and cost-effective energy solutions. They are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their dynamic team and contribute to the growth of their fossil fuel power generation portfolio, with a specific focus on natural gas projects. Ideal Candidate: A results-driven project management professional with 6-10 years of experience, specifically within fossil fuel power generation (natural gas). You are adept at leading cross-functional teams, managing complex projects from conception through completion, and thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • 6-10 years of progressive project management experience, with a minimum of 3 years specifically in fossil fuel power generation, preferably natural gas plants.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related technical field.
  • Deep understanding of power generation project lifecycles, engineering principles, procurement, and construction (EPC) processes.
  • Proficiency with project management software (MS Project, Primavera P6, or similar) and the MS Office Suite.
  • Proven ability to lead without direct authority, influence stakeholders, and manage diverse, cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work remotely, with occasional travel as needed. Juno Beach, FL is the primary office location.

  • PMP certification is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage multiple natural gas power generation projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact and project leader, coordinating efforts across cross-functional teams including Development, Environmental, Engineering, Supply Chain, Legal, and Operations.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, budgets, and risk registers.
  • Provide regular, detailed updates to senior leadership within the Engineering and Construction Department.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Identify project risks and issues early, developing and implementing effective mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure all project activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute expertise and strategic input to support the company's growth objectives in the fossil generation business.
