The Project Manager, Landscaping at The Arc of San Diego is responsible for managing three landscaping teams across multiple locations in San Diego County. This role serves as the primary operational contact for government customers and involves assessing, planning, pricing, scheduling, and implementing landscape construction projects, as well as overseeing landscape maintenance work. The position emphasizes empowering individuals with disabilities and fostering a positive, team-oriented work environment.

  • Manage three landscaping teams servicing multiple locations throughout San Diego County.
  • Serve as the primary operational point of contact for government customers.
  • Assess, plan, price, schedule, and implement landscape construction projects.
  • Perform landscape maintenance work as needed.
  • Supervise Grounds Maintenance Project Supervisor, Crew Leads, and individuals with disabilities in the supported employment program.
  • Develop scope of work based on contract needs.
  • Maintain open, positive working relationships with contracting entities, vendors, and subcontractors through continuous communication.
  • Safely operate hand and power tools and equipment including tractors, riding mowers, and power trimmers.
  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
  • A minimum of four (4) years of related work experience, including at least two (2) years in landscape construction project management.
  • Minimum three (3) years of supervisory experience.
  • Proven ability to assess, plan, price, schedule, and implement landscape construction projects.
  • C-27 Contractor License required or must be obtained within the first six (6) months of employment.
  • Knowledge and/or experience working with people with disabilities.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Bilingual English-Spanish preferred.
  • Skilled in hand and machine maintenance.
