Position Summary The Project Manager – Installation Division leads installation projects from pre-construction through post-construction, ensuring accurate scheduling, purchasing oversight, profitability tracking, and operational coordination. The Project Manager partners closely with field supervisors, crews, and internal departments to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget—without directly managing field labor. This role represents Sunrise Landscape’s standards of excellence in client communication, operational execution, and financial accountability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Landscape Architecture, Business, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • Minimum 5+ years of project management experience within landscape installation, construction, or related industry.
  • Strong understanding of landscape construction processes, materials, and estimating principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word) and project management platforms (Aspire, Procore, or similar). Ability to master Aspire ERP program.
  • Demonstrated analytical and financial acumen, with ability to interpret profitability metrics and cost trends.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and client relationship management skills.
  • Proven ability to multitask and deliver results in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Horticulture experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the sales-to-operations hand-off meeting and complete all required checklist items.
  • Review project scope, design plans, and client expectations for accuracy and completeness.
  • Identify potential extra work items at project start to ensure accurate scope and margin planning.
  • Create irrigation buyout sheets and update estimated material costs; review and approve irrigation want lists and purchasing exceptions.
  • Collaborate with Project Engineer to ensure items such as submittals, permits, etc. are submitted timely and accurately.
  • Identify risk areas (permits, schedule constraints, material lead times) and coordinate mitigation plans with the team.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication, responsiveness, and satisfaction throughout the project.
  • Build client relationships and identify opportunities to sell additional change orders.
  • Run job costing on every project, aligning expenses and billing to ensure job is run on time and under budget.
  • Partner with field supervisors and crews to verify site readiness, design compliance, and installation quality.
  • Review sod purchase orders for price and quantity accuracy, ensuring margin integrity.
  • Develop and maintain a weekly profitability tracker, reviewing key metrics such as materials, labor, and margin.
  • Review buyout sheets and payroll data for accuracy and profitability alignment.
  • Create agendas and lead weekly operations meetings, driving accountability across teams.
  • Review and approve daily schedules and route plans to optimize crew productivity and job sequencing.
  • Track and document all change orders, Extra Purchase Orders (EPOs), and client approvals.
  • Conduct site visits for progress validation, quality control, and issue resolution.
  • Ensure all project activities meet Sunrise’s safety, quality, and compliance standards.
  • Conduct final walkthroughs with clients and confirm punch list completion.
  • Verify whether any claims are warranty-related and coordinate timely resolution.
  • Submit project closeout documentation, including invoices, warranties, and service transition details.
  • Collaborate with the Assistant Project Coordinator and service teams to ensure accurate handoff for warranty and maintenance.
  • Analyze project outcomes (budget, schedule, quality) and capture lessons learned to improve future execution.
