Jacobs is seeking a Project Manager at our Los Angeles, CA location to perform project management work and services. As a Project Manager, we need you to have the ability to work independently and perform duties in the Client's headquarters (HQ) office or one of their construction field offices. We will rely on you to effectively make decisions concerning work in progress and solving field and office problems. You'll work under the direction of a Senior Project Manager, and will assume the following primary responsibilities: Working together, we'll help you grow and pursue what fulfills you so that we can make impacts on the future - big and small, global, and local.

  • Lead project scoping in partnership with the Project Sponsor.
  • Develop and maintain the project scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Take an active role in community engagement.
  • Assess projects for risks and maintain a current risk register for each project.
  • Lead the project team through all project phases.
  • Assist with preparation, analysis and review of contract change orders.
  • Assist with the review of Critical Path Method (CPM) Schedule analysis.
  • Manage the project in Post Construction to closeout and archive project documentation.
  • To ensure success in this role, you will apply your knowledge of engineering fundamentals and safety regulations to ensure the soundness of bridge/building structures.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related degree OR equivalent work experience in lieu of education.
  • 10+ years in project management experience managing horizontal infrastructure projects
  • Valid California Driver's License
  • Proven knowledge of construction practices, physical characteristics and properties of roadway, structures, drainage and utility systems construction materials, and the approved methods and equipment used in making physical tests of construction materials.
  • Ability to walk construction site, including walking up and down slopes, climbing ladders, and walking on scaffolding and other temporary structures.

  • The base salary range for this position is $128,200.00 to $200,350.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
