About The Position

This role provides leadership and oversight for investigator-initiated studies (IIS) and collaborative research projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, timelines, budgets, and quality standards. You will serve as the primary point of contact for external collaborators and internal teams, coordinating project plans, resourcing, and deliverables. The position requires strong cross-functional collaboration across Scientific Affairs, Medical Affairs, and operational teams, as well as expertise in research operations, imaging, and regulatory compliance. You will manage project budgets, track progress, and ensure high-quality outputs while facilitating communication and knowledge sharing among stakeholders. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented and proactive project manager who thrives in a fast-paced research environment and is committed to advancing scientific initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Clinical Research, or related discipline; advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum of 4 years of project management or research experience, ideally at an academic medical center, CRO, or within pharma/medtech
  • Proven experience managing complex research projects, including planning, execution, and reporting
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Expertise in project budgeting, financial tracking, and resource allocation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with collaborators, team members, and leadership
  • Proficiency with project management tools such as MS Project, Asana, Jira, or Smartsheet
  • Attention to detail and ability to enforce high standards of work

  • Experience in cardiac imaging research highly desirable

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the successful execution of investigator-initiated and collaborative research projects, ensuring alignment with program goals, timelines, and budgets
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for external collaborators and internal teams, providing updates and coordinating deliverables
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Scientific Affairs, Medical Affairs, and operational teams to create and implement project plans
  • Manage resourcing needs, review team deliverables, and ensure all outputs meet high-quality standards
  • Oversee project financial management, including budgeting, expense tracking, invoicing, and reporting on profitability and margins
  • Ensure compliance with relevant policies, SOPs, GCP, and applicable federal, regional, and local regulations
  • Adapt project plans and priorities in response to evolving requirements or unexpected challenges
