About The Position

The Construction Project Manager III is responsible for the comprehensive management of multi-million-dollar design and construction projects, ensuring customer satisfaction and successful execution. This role oversees renovations and new construction of government spaces within existing buildings and requires expertise in complex project coordination.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Bachelor of Science in Construction Management, Engineering or a related field and/or seven years of experience in design and management of construction projects.
  • May be required to travel in conjunction with site visits and progress reviews on project locations.
  • May be required to attend National, Regional, and local conferences, meetings and seminars.
  • Ability to solve complex problems or conflicts that impede progress.
  • Ability to ensure contractors and agency staff work effectively toward timely completion of projects and within budget.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with a diverse team consisting of the customer, contract specialist, contractor, financial manager, and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all phases of construction projects, from initial planning through design, construction, commissioning, and occupancy.
  • Develop and oversee project scopes in collaboration with customers, ensuring alignment with federal standards and requirements.
  • Prepare government estimates using federal estimating software and manage detailed project schedules.
  • Coordinate procurement processes with government contract specialists, contractors, and architect/engineering firms.
  • Act as the on-site construction manager or inspector, ensuring compliance with specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Resolve highly complex problems or conflicts that may impede project progress.
  • Adapt to unforeseen changes, challenges, and constraints while maintaining project timelines and budgets.
  • Ensure contractors and agency staff collaborate effectively, promoting efficiency and accountability.
  • Attend and participate in national, regional, and local conferences, meetings, and seminars.
  • Travel as needed for site visits, progress reviews, and stakeholder meetings.
