About The Position

At an advanced level of proficiency, provide leadership to cross-functional teams to plan and manage the successful execution of FHLBank's projects and other initiatives in support of strategic business objectives and ongoing operations. This includes project planning, estimating, implementation, and post-implementation support for internally developed and third-party applications. This is a senior level Project Manager role expected to develop and execute cross-functional projects and successfully deliver the expected business results for one or more strategic initiatives. Lead a single large project or multiple moderately sized projects concurrently.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent work experience.
  • PMP, SAFe CSM Scrum Certification or equivalent agile certification preferred.
  • Lean Six Sigma knowledge and/or certifications.
  • Five to eight years of project management experience managing cross-functional initiatives.
  • Experience in both Agile and traditional project management methodologies.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in banking and financial systems.
  • Experience as Scrum Master or in business/system analyst roles.
  • Strong goal orientation and team solidarity.
  • Experience with implementing financial systems and Microsoft technologies.
  • Experience managing, mentoring, and coaching small teams.
  • Strong multi-tasking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Fiscal management, budget planning, estimating, and reporting skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to identify and manage project risks.
  • Ability to manage vendor relationships.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with project portfolio management (PPM) tools.
