The Project Manager II will plan, manage, and deliver distinct projects through all specific phases, aligning with business and enterprise strategies. This role involves providing leadership, direction, and coaching to teams while partnering with business and executive stakeholders across multiple Lines of Business (LoB). The position manages projects with moderate regulatory oversight and a low to medium risk profile, typically leading Tier 3 and/or Tier 4 projects with medium complexity. The Project Manager may indirectly manage a cross-LoB project team consisting of Business Analysts, Business SMEs, and Technology Resources, and may handle multiple small projects with short to medium-term time horizons.

  • Plan, manage, and deliver distinct projects through all specific phases.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and coaching to project teams.
  • Engage executive sponsors and stakeholders to manage project outcomes.
  • Establish effective project oversight and governance bodies.
  • Communicate project status and significant changes to stakeholders.
  • Apply Organizational Change Management principles to manage the people side of change.
  • Indirectly manage a cross-LoB project team.
  • Liaise with external vendors and consultants as required.
  • Educate project team members on governance processes.
  • Develop an understanding of the technical/business aspects of the project.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Project Management Certification required.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of project management practices and principles.
  • Exposure to financial management regarding project budgets.
  • Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships.
  • Proven ability to stay focused under pressure.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to champion change.
  • Experience in managing cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to cope with rapid change and ambiguity.
  • Experience as a change agent.
