Position Summary Project Engineer II Deer Park, TX Provide project engineering leadership for a portfolio of Capital Projects (typically below $20 mln each) at the Deer Park Refinery. Accountable for safety, delivery of a functioning system that solves the problem or realizes the opportunity, cost, and schedule for assigned set of projects.

Requirements

• 4-10 years experience in Refinery or Petrochemical Plant Engineering.
• 4-10 years of Project Engineering is required.
• A practical working knowledge of refinery/chemical processes, process equipment, and general project procedures is required.

Responsibilities

• Ability to work with little supervision.
• Work with both internal and external customer ensuring projects are met timely.
• Work with discipline Engineers, Designers and other support personal to ensure project expectations are met.
• Position requires occasional field walks and visits.
• Ensure proper project and discipline engineering and design execution.
• Prepare scope, cost estimates, schedules, etc
• Safely executes capital projects from front-end development (Identify, Assess, Select, & Define phases) to detailed design and construction (Execute phase) including procurement, cost control and schedule management.
• Manages simultaneous projects with competing priorities in various phases on a wide variety of manufacturing processes in the refinery.
