About The Position

The Project Manager II is a key position within Uniti’s Project Management Office (PMO). The PMO manages cross-functional programs and projects, including efforts related to mergers and acquisitions, integration activities, system implementations and improvements, data conversions, process improvements, etc. The Project Manager II leads projects from initiation through implementation. The person who fills the role should be an initiative-taker who is comfortable engaging business partners across the organization and working across functional groups to achieve shared goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or related field and 5+ years of project management experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives, OR 8+ years relevant project management experience.
  • Demonstrated project management and leadership skills
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changes
  • Ability to work independently in a deadline-driven environment
  • Focus on delivering work of highest quality and accuracy
  • Experience de-escalating issues and gaining agreement
  • Experience communicating effectively in written and verbal form to executive leadership
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies

Nice To Haves

  • Project management experience in telecommunications or IT
  • PMP Certification

Responsibilities

  • Implement projects and initiatives by leading cross-functional teams, engaging appropriate stakeholders and gaining buy-in and alignment
  • Collaborate with project teams members to define project scope, identify project requirements, and establish project plans
  • Manage and monitor assigned projects. Drive tasks and activities, holding project team members accountable while maintaining focus on scope and planned timelines
  • Track project risks and issues, ensuring mitigation or resolution; engage leadership for escalations as appropriate
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for project updates and status, providing regular project reporting
  • Prepare and publish timely, succinct, and affective communication for stakeholders and leadership
  • May support documentation of process flows related to project.
  • May oversee user acceptance testing (depending on project type)
