About The Position

Crawford, Murphy & Tilly is seeking a Civil Engineering Project Manager II to join the Water Resources team in our Springfield, MO office. This is not a remote position. We are a fast-growing firm with 500+ employees across 25 offices in 10 states, serving clients through our four primary business groups: Aviation Surface Transportation Water Resources Building & Site Services As a Project Manager II, you'll play a key role in supporting the Missouri Water Resources team while providing the opportunity to experience new challenges in a dynamic environment. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, or related field
  • 10+ years' experience in Civil Engineering
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
  • Demonstrated technical design expertise in transportation projects including geometric design, grading, drainage, pavements, utilities, quantities, engineering reports, and specifications
  • Previous project leadership experience required
  • Transportation, site development, and infrastructure design
  • Proficient knowledge in AutoCAD; Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and active listening skills
  • Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage deadlines and multiple concurrent tasks.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to identify issues, evaluate options, and implement solutions
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments on a variety of projects
  • Demonstrated responsiveness, professionalism, and teamwork

Nice To Haves

  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record

Responsibilities

  • Perform and lead projects including client management, supervising and directing junior staff in support of the group manager and the team at large
  • Manage and mentor junior staff while overseeing technical design tasks
  • Prepare comprehensive bidding documents including project finances
  • Responsible for project task management and adherence to project deadlines, budget, and scope
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver successful outcomes
  • Support client managers and help grow relationships with Water Resources clients
  • Contribute to business development through outreach, proposals, and community engagement
  • Serve as a client manager or the ability/desire to grow into a client-facing professional capable of delivering high quality products and services to our clients
  • Responsible for project task management and adherence to project deadlines, budget, and scope
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, or other governmental regulations
