The Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) Project Manager II is responsible for managing moderate to high complexity enterprise-level and non-enterprise-level projects. This role ensures effective development and implementation of projects involving interdepartmental and external stakeholder teams throughout all phases of the project lifecycle. The position requires a hybrid work schedule with in-office presence required four times a year as needed.

  • Manage enterprise-level and non-enterprise-level projects using best practices and industry-standard processes.
  • Plan, execute, control, and monitor projects to meet scope, cost, scheduling, and contractual deliverables.
  • Manage cross-functional projects from inception to implementation.
  • Collaborate with EPMO staff at all phases of the project lifecycle.
  • Model, implement, and communicate project management methodologies.
  • Interface with project sponsors to agree on project goals, objectives, scope, deliverables, timeframes, resources, and outcomes.
  • Manage relationships with project sponsors and team members through meetings and status updates.
  • Provide status updates to project governance regarding project deliverables.
  • Draft and maintain project documentation including business case, charter, WBS, project requirements, project plan, status reports, and meeting agendas and minutes.
  • Identify and manage project deliverables, dependencies, and critical path with milestones.
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, issues, risks, and develop contingency plans.
  • Perform post-implementation project review activities and document lessons learned.
  • Report post-implementation outcomes to leadership and project stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the EPMO on developing and implementing new project management tools and templates.
  • Experience managing multifaceted projects including both long- and short-term projects with varying team sizes.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for team building and facilitating meetings.
  • Ability to motivate and lead participants at all organizational levels.
  • Working knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to exercise independent judgment.
  • Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with others to set goals and resolve problems.
  • Strong organization and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Analytical skills to identify solutions and mitigate risk.
  • Effective change management and decision-making skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and project planning software.
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of software-development life cycle.
  • Extensive knowledge of core operation functions of a managed care organization.
