The Project Manager II at Stansell Electric Company is responsible for overseeing the daily management, supervision, coordination, and successful completion of construction projects. This role involves optimizing time and cost objectives related to contracting, scheduling, estimating, and contract administration. The Project Manager will take full responsibility for projects from conception to completion, with a focus on transportation, infrastructure, and unit priced projects. Opportunities for advancement to senior positions or skilled trades are available.

  • Prepare and understand Work In Progress (WIP) data.
  • Complete Change Order pricing, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Purchase Orders, subcontracts, and schedule of values.
  • Manage billing strategy and timing, including under/over billing and stored material.
  • Follow the contract review process with assessments from senior Project Managers.
  • Forecast costs to complete projects.
  • Teach and leverage Project Manager I's in their roles.
  • Build and maintain project schedules, track change orders, and manage resource needs.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks.
  • Manage project scope and stakeholder input.
  • Read, interpret, and apply construction drawings and specifications.
  • Understand basic estimating for Change Order scope collection.
  • Follow the SEC project delivery methodology.
  • Understand contract language and requirements for risk management.
  • Communicate effectively with subcontractors, customers, owners, and vendors.
  • Negotiate and resolve conflicts at an intermediate level.
  • Initiate customer relationship management and maintain advanced internal communication and collaboration.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience as a Project Manager, with consideration for less experienced candidates who show willingness to learn and relevant experience.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • General knowledge of the electrical field and familiarity with electrical materials and construction methods.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage conflicts and negotiate effectively.
  • Experience with infrastructure and transportation projects.
  • Training in project management preferred.
