About The Position

The Project Manager II position at TD involves planning, managing, and delivering distinct projects through all specific phases, in alignment with business and/or enterprise strategies. The role requires providing leadership, direction, and coaching to teams while partnering with business and executive stakeholders across multiple Lines of Business (LoB). The position typically leads the delivery of Tier 3 and/or Tier 4 projects with moderate complexity and may indirectly manage a cross-LoB project team consisting of Business Analysts, Business SMEs, and Technology Resources. The projects managed generally range from short to medium term.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Project Management Certification required.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of project management practices, procedures, and principles.
  • Exposure to financial management regarding project budgets.
  • Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships.
  • Ability to think strategically and possess strong business acumen.
  • Proven ability to stay focused under pressure.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to develop a motivated team.

Nice To Haves

  • 7+ years of demonstrated experience managing technology projects.
  • Ability to traverse a complex organizational structure.
  • Proven background in developing problem statements and remediation plans.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, manage, and deliver distinct projects through all specific phases.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and coaching to teams.
  • Engage with executive sponsors and stakeholders to manage project outcomes.
  • Establish effective project oversight and governance bodies.
  • Communicate project status and significant changes to key stakeholders.
  • Apply Organizational Change Management principles to manage the people side of change.
  • Indirectly manage a cross-LoB project team.
  • Liaise with external vendors and consultants as required.
  • Educate project team members on governance processes.
  • Develop an understanding of the technical/business aspects of the project.
