The Telecom Delivery – Carolinas East team is seeking an individual to serve in a Project Manager II / Product Owner role for the Controls agile delivery team. This individual will be responsible for leading the successful delivery of a portfolio of business initiatives to provide telecommunications services for various internal business units including Transmission, Distribution, Energy Control Centers, and the Natural Gas Business Unit. The Controls Product Owner works closely with business partners to scope, plan, and approve new work requests, translate business requirements to Telecom solutions, complete the Telecom work intake process to initiate new work requests, partner with the Agile Lead to assign components to team members, ensure priorities and due dates are set and met, and lead the team to deliver successfully across the entire portfolio of active work requests. This includes business customer relationship management, project team leadership, performance management, status monitoring and reporting, issue management, escalations, removing impediments, and continuous process improvements. The Project Manager II position has single point of accountability, or can possibly be under the general direction of a Project Director or Senior PM. The Project Manager II (PM-II) position is responsible for the management, or the assistance of managing, all phases of project planning and execution to ensure all project success factors are met, including but not limited to scope, schedule, cost, quality, environmental, safety, communications, security, and integration. This position typically is assigned to multiple “Green I” or “Green II” projects per the Project Management Center of Excellence Project Profile Matrix. These projects are typically between $5M and $50M with a Low to Moderate level of complexity which may impact the facility or department level within the Company as well as some Senior Management and/or External Agencies. The PM-II serves as a Product Owner for a team of 20+ individuals and provides leadership, management, direction, coordination, and control of the overall projects supported by this team in accordance with the established policies, procedures, systems, and requirements of The Company. This position is considered a leadership position; minimum qualifications must be met to be placed within this position. Progression to this level is typically restricted on the basis of business need.
