About The Position

Responsible for Facilities Project Management and overall delivery of Facilities projects to all Essentia Health sites across the System. Partners, coordinates, and leads in the full project lifecycle to execute various Facilities initiatives. Assists with defining facilities project strategies that are consistent with Essentia Health’s strategies, policies and procedures, mission, values and goals and are in alignment with the organizational business strategies. Project Manager I will be responsible for various projects with a key focus on small to medium scale projects. This can be demonstrated through projects with costs typically in the range of $1-5M or can be a combined portfolio of projects with increasing cost and complexity. All project managers equally work on expense or low cost/risk projects. Project Manager is responsible for technical oversight on Facilities projects, and continual monitoring of scope, budget, schedule, procurement activities, outside vendor or consultants, and timely completion of project milestones. Must be able to manage and organize a large workload for timely completion of projects through the programming, approval(s), design, construction, occupancy, and project close out phases. Able to effectively manage projects that may require committee approval(s), sensitive or confidential projects, and must require coordination and interaction with a diverse group of departments, vendors, and Industry Partners for successful project delivery.

Requirements

  • Associates degree required plus a minimum of 5 years’ experience in project management, process improvement and lean/six sigma related work OR a bachelor’s degree required and two years experience in facilities project management.
  • Must be able to manage and organize a large workload for timely completion of projects through the programming, approval(s), design, construction, occupancy, and project close out phases.
  • Able to effectively manage projects that may require committee approval(s), sensitive or confidential projects, and must require coordination and interaction with a diverse group of departments, vendors, and Industry Partners for successful project delivery.

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated experience managing projects in a Healthcare setting
  • Certified Hospital Constructor (CHC) Certification
  • Project Manager Profession (PMP)
  • Education in energy management and/or sustainability practices.
