PAR Electric is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Manager I (PM I) to support the planning and execution of Transmission and Substation construction projects within our Central Region. This role is ideal for an early- to mid-career project management professional looking to grow within the electric utility construction industry while gaining hands-on experience managing complex infrastructure projects. The PM I works closely with senior project managers, construction managers, field leadership, and clients to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within scope, and on budget.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience supporting or managing Transmission and Substation construction projects
  • Strong understanding of electric utility construction practices and terminology
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as needed within the Central Region
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork

Responsibilities

  • Support the management of transmission and substation construction projects from initiation through closeout
  • Assist with project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and cost tracking
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, and safety teams
  • Help manage subcontractors, vendors, and material deliveries
  • Track project progress and prepare status reports for internal leadership and clients
  • Support change order management, documentation, and contract compliance
  • Ensure work is performed in accordance with company policies, safety standards, and client requirements
  • Participate in project meetings, job briefings, and site visits
  • Assist with project closeout, including documentation, billing support, and lessons learned
