Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction, Business, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years work experience in operations, technology, finance, or comparable function for Project Manager I; 8 years for Project Manager II.
  • 3-5 years' experience in project management and process improvement for Project Manager I; 5-7 years for Project Manager II.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence others.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills; excellent written/verbal communication skills required.
  • Understanding of core business processes and industry trends.
  • Knowledge of project planning and business need justification process and methodology.

Nice To Haves

  • PMI Certification
  • Experience in Department of Energy (DoE) reporting requirements
  • Vendor/contract management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide project management, leadership, and coordination for one or more projects or project work streams.
  • Manage overall project scope, schedule, cost, and risk management.
  • Lead teams to achieve approved project scope and develop strategic sequencing and detailed milestone schedules.
  • Coordinate development of detailed cost estimates, schedules, and associated project RFPs, RFQs, and contracts.
  • Manage project financials including budgeting, forecasting, and actuals tracking.
  • Assist with RFP and contract management processes.
  • Identify risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle and assist in creating mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
  • Communicate project status to all levels of the organization and establish effective working relationships.
