As a Project Manager I, you will lead and support integrated design teams to deliver small projects with clarity, collaboration, and quality. You will grow your leadership capabilities with mentorship from senior project managers and team leaders, taking on responsibility for project schedules, budgets, scopes, and client communication. You’ll make a meaningful contribution to performance-based design outcomes while developing your own project management toolkit.

  • Lead and support up to three small-scale projects from start to finish, ensuring alignment with client expectations, budgets, and deadlines.
  • Initiate project start-up activities including budgets, schedules, and team communications.
  • Monitor project scopes and proactively collaborate with teams to address risks and changes.
  • Apply and expand knowledge of project delivery methods, integrating team input to achieve design goals.
  • Support QA/QC processes and compliance practices through structured tools such as checklists and charters.
  • Collaborate across disciplines to support seamless design integration and effective team workflows.
  • Track and contribute to the financial health of projects, supporting cost and resource management under guidance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, interiors, landscape architecture, engineering, or a related field; master’s degree a plus.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience managing projects in an AE environment.
  • CSI-CDT certification required (or willingness to obtain within first year).
  • Professional registration (e.g., PE, RA, NCIDQ, PLA) and/or certifications from PMI or PSMJ preferred.
  • Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills with a foundational understanding of project management phases and tools.
  • Demonstrated leadership capacity, with ability to manage schedules and resources on small projects with oversight.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project, SharePoint, Teams; experience with Deltek Vision and project planning tools preferred.

  • Must be able to sit for extended periods, work at a computer, lift 25 pounds, and work in both office and field settings.
  • Master’s degree in a related field.
