This Project Manager - Hydropower Generation Services role will support Hydropower Projects. We are seeking candidates with minimum 8 years' experience in Hydropower Generation and at least three years as a Project Manager. Candidate must be located in California The Project Manager - Hydropower Generation Services role will function in a mid-level project manager capacity. You will own multiple services projects encompassing hydropower plant capital improvements, equipment refurbishment, plant life extension programs, hydraulic structure projects including spillway refurbishment, spillway gates, cranes, hoists, and other civil, mechanical, and electrical scopes for balance of plant systems for existing facilities. Other scopes could consist of feasibility studies, pumped storage, and synchronous condenser technology. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Provide technical support for client projects with design review services, design engineering services, and development engineering support. Support client projects with feasibility studies, energy production estimates, and cost estimates, construction support and testing & commissioning. Provide proposal support for client projects with technical specification preparation, RFP support, and bid evaluation support. Oversee EPC contractors for client projects. In this role, you will also support the client interface with assigned clients to assist in developing client relationships and identification of new project opportunities including pre-positioning for favorable consideration by the client. Be part of the Hydro North West Hydro Leadership team who is responsible to define client and project implementation strategies as well as make project and team staff decisions. Please note: This role has 20% travel to project and client sites.

  • Assisting with identification of key client interests and drivers
  • Typically provides support to business development for pursuit activities
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
  • 8 years' experience in Hydropower Generation
  • three years as a Project Manager
  • 12+ years of experience in hydropower or hydraulic structures
  • 5+ years of experience in Project Management with full responsibility for the outcome of the project
  • Previous experience with engineering projects in a utility power plant setting
  • Experience in design and operation support of conventional and pumped storage hydroelectric generation stations
  • Previous experience in a client facing role
  • Typically 7 years experience.
