Job Description Position Summary: As a Project Manager, you will work with Engineering, Product Managers, Program Managers and Business Managers to bring our product roadmaps to life. Your responsibilities span the product development life cycle from project initiation, through development and test, to product release. In this position, you will manage new products comprised of electronic hardware and embedded software. You will construct a plan and coordinate delivery across engineering teams in an Agile development environment. You will work closely with our manufacturing and sourcing teams to ensure the plant is ready to build the product at release. Facilitating decisions across disciplines and addressing issues early are important to your success in this role. Project teams may consist of resources in global facilities. Working with an international team may be required on some projects. Some travel, including both domestic and international, may be required to meet with team members and facilitate project progress. You will be supported with mentorship and coaching. After success in this role, you will have the opportunity to grow into roles with increased scope and responsibility. You will report to a manager in the Project Management Office and work from Milwaukee, WI or Mayfield Heights, OH.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree

Nice To Haves

  • Typically requires 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor of Science degree in an Engineering discipline, or equivalent experience
  • Advanced training or certifications in PMI/PMP, Lean Six Sigma, Business Administration, Management, Operations, Project Engineering, or Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Experience in product or application development, especially with electronic hardware and embedded software
  • Experience in a project management or project leadership role
  • Partner with management and lead indirect resources
  • Demonstrated experience in project planning (including financial budgeting and forecasting), execution, and risk management
  • Knowledge of project/product management tools such as Atlassian Jira, Jama, SAP, and scheduling software
  • Experience using Agile/Scrum methodologies, especially with the Scaled Agile Framework
  • Knowledge of product certifications, such as 61508 functional safety, 62443 security, UL, CE, and TUV
  • Technical knowledge of industrial controls, new product design, hardware/software, product testing, manufacturing, or continuation engineering

Responsibilities

  • Partner with multi-discipline teams to create and manage project delivery plans, finances, and resource plans.
  • Look beyond the current project state to identify dependencies, anticipate obstacles and risks, and proactively put mitigation and contingency plans in place.
  • Bring your team together to drive decisions, resolve complex project issues and risks, and manage change.
  • Concisely communicate progress, decisions, issues, risks, and mitigation plans to your team and senior leadership.
  • Ensure project alignment across other initiatives to avoid duplication or misaligned opportunities.
  • Provide input to product roadmaps and strategies to optimize new product and feature delivery.
