About The Position

Amazon is seeking a Project Manager to oversee and coordinate the execution of successful new build infrastructure and expansion/retrofit projects within the Global Engineering Services (GES) Organization. This role involves leading a team, managing medium to large capital projects, and ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget while driving standardization across the network.

Requirements

• 5+ years of program or project management experience
• Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
• Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
• Bachelor's degree, or MBA
• Experience in complex problem solving, and working in a tight schedule environment
• 5+ years of vendor management experience

Nice To Haves

• 5+ years of driving process improvements experience
• PMP, or MBA in management, business administration, economics, engineering, marketing

Responsibilities

• Manage new and existing programs, successfully delivering difficult projects and goals across multiple organizations
• Partner with other program managers to secure resources, scope efforts, set project priorities and milestones, and drive delivery
• Own program communication, accelerating progress by driving crisp and timely decisions, clearing blockers, and escalating as appropriate
• Influence design and development of strategic processes
• Work with program managers and business leaders to communicate and impact critical business initiatives
• Develop, implement, and govern the execution of all business, technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of the assigned program, project, or sub-task
• Provide accountability while reporting on status, asking for help, and immediately escalating issues and problems as necessary
• Responsible for overall project schedule that enables the teams to be successful based upon the project milestones and Go-Live
