At Stanford Health Care, every space we plan and design plays a role in advancing healing, innovation, and the patient experience. We are seeking a Project Manager to join our Facilities Planning & Design (FPD) team—someone who thrives at the intersection of strategy, design, and execution and is energized by representing the owner’s perspective on complex healthcare projects. In this role, you will serve as a key steward of Stanford Health Care’s built environment, managing projects from programming and design through construction and closeout. Day to day, you’ll partner closely with clinical stakeholders, architects, engineers, and consultants to translate vision into functional, compliant, and inspiring spaces. You’ll lead design reviews, coordinate approvals, and ensure projects align with institutional standards, regulatory requirements, and long-term operational goals. Week to week, you’ll balance multiple projects at various stages—facilitating collaboration, resolving challenges, and maintaining clear communication across diverse teams. Over time, you’ll help shape how projects are delivered at Stanford Health Care by contributing to best practices, standards, and continuous improvement within FPD. Ideal candidates bring experience in owner’s-side project management, healthcare and/or complex institutional environments, and a strong foundation in the design and construction process. Success in this role requires sound judgment, curiosity, collaboration, and the ability to navigate complexity with confidence.
