Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or a related discipline.
  • 7+ years minimum of project or construction management experience on large commercial or industrial construction projects.
  • Advanced knowledge and proven delivery on civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, life safety and controls scopes.
  • Demonstrated project management skills and experience to manage complex projects under pressure.
  • Strong proficiency in computer and project management software and tools.
  • Strong organization with proven leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to perform duties under deadline pressure in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Proven record of providing excellent internal and external customer service.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
  • PMP certification or equivalent project management certification desired.

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic and cross-functional R+D improvement projects and end to end project delivery.
  • Manage the design, permitting, and construction of the project through established processes.
  • Responsible for planning, executing, monitoring, controlling and closing projects.
  • Partner closely with internal and external stakeholders to optimize process, procedure and project delivery.
  • Develop ROM level project estimates for funding approval based on project program documents.
  • Prepare, develop and maintain master project schedules and budgets.
  • Ensure the project plan, scope, work structure, schedule, and budget are maintained by all involved parties.
  • Select and manage project team and resources including subcontractors, consultants, suppliers and partners.
  • Regularly monitor the progress of all projects by completing site visits, tracking procurement activities and reviewing contractor performance.
  • Conduct project meetings, track deliverables assigned in meetings, and coordinate project updates/reports.
  • Review and approve requisitions, change orders and invoices associated with the project.
  • Oversee document preparation and completion.
  • Play a critical leadership, coordination, and communication role with all stakeholders.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, obtain necessary approvals, and understand local permitting processes.
  • Conduct value engineering based on Basis of Design, site conditions and industry benchmarking.
  • Seek and capitalize upon opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships.
  • Recommend and assist with internal program and process improvements.
  • Manage programs/projects that have higher visibility to the Client.
  • Create and evaluate project reporting; provide timely and accurate project status reporting.
  • Monitor and develop strategies to mitigate project risks.
  • Manage day-to-day Client interaction, relationship and expectations.
