About The Position

Plan it. Quote it. Build it. Improve it. At CSI, Project Managers dont sit on the sidelines youre working directly with the shop, engineering, and customers to turn concepts into real, buildable components. Youll own projects from early conversations and quoting through design, fabrication, and delivery. That includes making smart decisions on cost, materials, and manufacturing methods while keeping projects moving and profitable. If you like seeing something, go from print to finished product and figure out how to do it better each time this is a strong opportunity. This is hands-on project work youll see what you plan get built, and youll be expected to make it better over time. Who This Is For You dont need to know everything but you do need the right mindset.

Requirements

  • Mechanically inclined with an interest in fabrication and manufacturing
  • Organized and able to manage multiple projects at once
  • Comfortable making decisions and taking ownership
  • Problem-solver who looks for better ways to do the work
  • Clear communicator with both shop teams and customers
  • Able to stay focused in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Associate degree required (technical emphasis preferred; Bachelors a plus)
  • 24+ years in fabrication, job shop, or manufacturing environment
  • Experience with estimating, quoting, or cost analysis strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with drawings, specs, and fabrication methods
  • Microsoft Office required (Excel, Outlook, Word)

Nice To Haves

  • Understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, or piping systems is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Work with customers and internal teams to define scope, requirements, and solutions
  • Support design, estimating, and cost development for fabricated components
  • Build and manage accurate cost proposals (materials, labor, methods, margins)
  • Review drawings, specs, and industry standards to ensure build accuracy
  • Coordinate closely with the shop to keep projects moving and on schedule
  • Provide technical support to production and resolve fabrication challenges
  • Communicate clearly with customers, vendors, and internal teams
  • Track project progress, costs, and performance
  • Compare estimated vs. actual costs to improve future quoting accuracy
  • Contribute to process improvements, cost reductions, and better build methods
