About The Position

Retail-exclusive products are where brand storytelling meets real-world execution. They are highly visible, fast-moving, and central to how MGA builds strong partnerships with retailers and excitement with fans. The Exclusives Project Manager will be the execution owner behind these programs. Your primary focus will be leading a high-volume pipeline of retailer-specific product and packaging changes, alongside select end-to-end exclusive programs that require deeper coordination. You will bring clarity, momentum, and accountability to complex workflows, helping great ideas become shelf-ready products.

Requirements

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with overseas manufacturing workflows, particularly with Asia-based engineering, production or procurement partners.

  • Direct experience in project or program management within toys, consumer products, packaging development, or a comparable production- driven industry.
  • Understanding of online and retail merchandising strategies

Responsibilities

  • Identify product opportunities through market research, competitor analysis and collaboration with the marketing and sales teams.
  • Collaborate in the building of brand specific slot and space plans with the VP of Retail Marketing and Brand leads.
  • Work alongside Marketing and Sales leads to develop unique retail positioning of the opportunity relative to the mainline.
  • Work alongside Marketing and PD to develop an incremental and unique concept to compliment the mainline and deliver on the item objective.
  • Define the location of the design and development source (LA or HK) given the complexity and uniqueness of the concepts and assign a project kick-off.
  • Work alongside Cost Engeneering to deliver against company and account financial metrics.
  • Prepare product briefs and coordinate internal approvals.
  • Work alongside Brand Graphics and Structure teams (LA or HK) to align on any constraints to packaging size and ensure creative integration and alignment with overall brand collection aesthetic.
  • Work closely with Operations team and manage development timelines from concept through production, ensuring timely launches.
  • Partner with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure smooth inbound flows, storage and order fulfillement
  • Monitor inventory levels and provide input on reordering, stock allocation and product lifecycle planning
  • Collaborate with retail marketing, sales and brand teams to determine product assortments, pricing and promotional timing
  • Analyze sell-through performance, customer feedback and inventory data to support future product planning
  • Coordinate the creation of product content for online listings, development of marketing materials and sell sheets
  • Provide clear, concise updates to stakeholders and leadership, highlighting progress, risks, and decisions needed.
  • Serve as a trusted point of escalation, helping teams navigate conflicts in timing, priorities, or requirements.
  • Lead a large, fast-paced pipeline of retailer-exclusive packaging and item changes, keeping timelines, approvals, and deliverables on track across many concurrent SKUs.
  • Manage select exclusive programs from approved concept through production readiness and launch.
  • Establish clear plans, milestones, and operating cadences that bring structure and predictability to the work.
  • Act as the central point of coordination across Retail Marketing, Product Development, Engineering, Procurement, Quality, Packaging, Creative, and Manufacturing.
  • Translate retailer needs into clear briefs and actionable plans that teams can execute with confidence.
  • Surface risks and trade-offs early to keep programs moving forward.
  • Guide artwork development, packaging reviews, proofing, and approvals through final print readiness.
  • Maintain strong version control and disciplined change management to avoid last-minute surprises.
  • Partner closely with packaging, sourcing, and vendor teams to ensure specifications are accurate and production-ready.
  • Work closely with Asia-based engineering, production, and procurement partners to support feasibility, readiness, and delivery timelines.
  • Identify potential risks related to materials, suppliers, capacity, or compliance and drive solutions to resolution.
  • Provide clear, concise updates to stakeholders and leadership, highlighting progress, risks, and decisions needed.
  • Serve as a trusted point of escalation, helping teams navigate conflicts in timing, priorities, or requirements.
  • Build and refine tools, templates, and workflows that increase speed, clarity, and throughput across the exclusive pipeline.
  • Identify recurring pain points and help implement improvements that reduce rework and approval bottlenecks.
