The Project Manager/Estimator serves as the primary point of contact for clients, fostering strong relationships and ensuring clear communication throughout the project duration. This role requires a deep understanding of construction principles and practices, as well as the ability to effectively manage resources and coordinate with various stakeholders, including subcontractors and internal teams. In this position, the Project Manager/Estimator will perform detailed takeoffs of concrete and masonry scope items, utilizing specialized software to create accurate estimates. They will incorporate subcontractor pricing, labor production rates, and material costs into their estimates, ensuring that all financial aspects of the project are accounted for. Additionally, the role involves setting up projects in company software, submitting necessary project documentation, and managing project costs, schedules, and cash flow. Regular attendance at financial meetings with the accounting department is required to track project performance and address any financial discrepancies. The Project Manager/Estimator will also be responsible for tracking labor production on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, participating in reporting and production meetings to ensure that project milestones are met. They will attend job site meetings to coordinate activities with the Superintendent and Foreman, ensuring that safety protocols are followed and that the project progresses smoothly. Finally, the role includes overseeing project closeout procedures, ensuring that all aspects of the project are completed satisfactorily and that all documentation is finalized.
