Summary: The Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing engineering projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This role involves coordinating the efforts of team members and outside suppliers to deliver projects according to plan. The Project Manager will also define the project’s milestones and oversee quality control throughout its development, ensuring compliance with AS9100 requirements. Specific Responsibilities Include: Project Planning and Management: Develop comprehensive project plans that merge customer requirements with company goals and coordinate various technical personnel during all project phases. Ensure project execution aligns with contractual requirements and internal guidelines. Manage multiple engineering projects from initiation to completion, ensuring scope, schedule, and budget alignment. Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders. Develop project plans and associated communication documents. Team Leadership: Lead a small group consisting of 3 members. Direct and manage project development from beginning to end. Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel. Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team. Budget and Resource Management: Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals. Ensure project execution aligns with contractual requirements and internal guidelines. Manage project budget and resource allocation. Communication and Reporting: Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion. Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis. Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders. Arrange for Design Reviews and manage the project per the RAD007 or RAD008 Quality System procedures and deliverables. Risk Management: Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path. Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools. Track project milestones and deliverables. Quality Assurance: Conduct project post-mortems and create recommendations report to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements. Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management.
