Responsible for the coordination and completion of electrical testing and engineering services projects. Oversees all aspects of projects. Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors and summarizes progress of project. Prepares reports for upper management regarding status of project. May require a bachelor's degree and at least 7 years of experience in the electrical testing and engineering services field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Reports to operations manager. General Responsibilities •The project manager is directly responsible for the production of services on and the financials of their assigned projects. •The project manager is responsible for directing personnel assigned to their projects and will make routine decisions in connection with matters pertaining to their assigned projects. •The project manager’s involvement in the execution (field service) of projects will be limited; however, the project manager will initiate many of the decisions. When resources are limited, the project manager will provide support in the execution (field service) of projects. •The project managers activities will tend to be relatively short, varied, fragmented, sometimes self-initiated, often externally initiated (more reactive than proactive). •The project manager will be responsible for representing the company to its clients. •The project manager will undertake business trips as necessary and work beyond normal hours in view of a higher quantum of work.
