About The Position

French & Parrello Associates (FPA) is seeking Project Manager - Electrical for our office in Wall, NJ.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in NJ
• Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical engineering design for building systems
• Previous experience managing projects and leading design teams
• Strong working knowledge of power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems
• Proficiency with industry software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical design tools
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Manage electrical design projects for commercial, institutional, healthcare and industrial from schematic design through construction administration
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, and project stakeholders on electrical scope and deliverables
• Coordinate electrical design with mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, structural and civil disciplines
• Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and work plans
• Review and oversee the preparation of electrical drawings, specifications, calculations, and reports
• Ensure designs comply with applicable codes and standards, including NEC, NFPA, IES, energy codes, and local regulations
• Lead and mentor electrical designers and engineers, providing technical guidance and quality control
• Conduct internal quality reviews and ensure consistency with firm standards
• Participate in construction administration activities, including submittal reviews, RFIs, site visits, and field coordination
• Support business development efforts by assisting with proposals, scope development, and client presentations as needed
