About The Position

AECOM's Water Business Line is seeking a dynamic, talented Project Manager - Drinking Water for immediate employment to be based out of our Piscataway or Bloomfield, New Jersey office. The appropriate qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an established career on drinking water projects including experience with treating PFAS. This position offers a unique opportunity to work within an established and successful group that offers a diverse range of technical challenges and career development opportunities.

Requirements

  • BS in Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering plus 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • Registered Professional Engineer - PE.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of drinking water treatment systems, booster stations, storage and distribution systems and client/consultant relations experience.
  • Treatment experience includes PFAS as well as conventional, high-rate, and residuals treatment systems.

Nice To Haves

  • 10 years of related experience in drinking water consulting and engineering management.
  • Registered Professional Engineer licensed in New Jersey or capable of obtaining the required license within 9 months of employment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Active participation in water community activities including the American Water Works Association and associated committee work.
  • Proven ability of leading business development activities, pursuing new clients/projects, and managing project deliveries.
  • Proven leader with an interest in developing and mentoring team members and demonstrated ability to successfully work in diverse teams.

Responsibilities

  • Manages drinking water projects from planning and piloting through design and construction.
  • Manages PFAS as well as conventional, high-rate, and residuals treatment systems, booster stations, storage and distribution systems and client/consultant relations projects.
  • Full responsibility of the project including but not limited to financial performance, schedule, staffing, execution, and contract closeout.
  • Provides guidance to and mentors subordinate staff, enforces company and project policies.
