About The Position

Compotech’s Digital Solutions Team builds mission-grade software, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning solutions for national security and critical industries. We partner with DoD stakeholders to deliver operational outcomes fast. The Project Manager will own the day-to-day planning and delivery of software and AI/ML projects scope, schedule, budget, risk, resources, and stakeholder alignment. You’ll run cross-functional execution (engineering, ML, DevSecOps, UX, test) from kickoff through acceptance and invoicing, ensuring compliance (RMF/ATO), high reliability, and crisp communications to internal leaders and DoD partners.

Requirements

  • 5+ years managing projects (software preferably) (multi-team, multi-release)
  • 2+ years working data/AI/ML or platform-heavy environments
  • Strong command of agile delivery (Scrum/Kanban), backlog management, estimation, dependency/risk control, and change management.
  • Experience in DevSecOps environments (CI/CD, IaC, SBOMs) and familiarity with cloud/on-prem (AWS GovCloud/Azure Government/GCC High).
  • Working knowledge of RMF/ATO, NIST 800-53/171, IL levels, and secure SDLC checkpoints.
  • Fluency with Microsoft 365; solid financial tracking (burn, EAC/ETC) and vendor/SOW coordination.
  • Excellent written/oral communication; able to translate technical detail into executive-ready updates and customer-facing briefs.

Nice To Haves

  • DoD/IC program experience; prior work with PEOs/DEVCOM/CDAO/DIU/AFWERX.
  • Exposure to Palantir Foundry and/or Anduril Lattice program delivery.
  • Familiarity with geospatial/time-series analytics, test planning for ML systems, and reliability/SRE practices.
  • Certifications: PMP, PMI-ACP, SAFe, ITIL, or similar.

Responsibilities

  • Develop project schedules and cost estimates for development contracts; coordinate the technical volume and contribute to the overall contract submission.
  • Drive project charters, WBS, schedules, and baselines; manage dependencies, critical path, and change control.
  • Run standups, sprint reviews, and weekly ops reviews; maintain logs; create and publish clear status on scope/schedule/budget/risks via dashboards.
  • Lead risk identification/mitigation, RCAs/post-mortems, acceptance criteria, and readiness gates; coordinate test/validation and reliability targets.
  • Track burn, EAC/ETC, and materials; coordinate SOWs, POP changes, CDRLs, deliverables, and vendor/sub performance.
  • Orchestrate RMF/ATO artifacts with ISSM/ISSO; align to NIST 800-53/171, IL2–IL6 hosting, SBOMs, and secure SDLC checkpoints.
  • Maintain tight communication with PMs/KO reps/TPOCs; prep briefs, demos, and orals; capture and drive customer feedback into the backlog.
  • Standardize DevOps workflows, reporting, and dashboards; ensure data hygiene and metrics for predictability.
  • Adopt and optimize platform and systems, pivot if and when appropriate.
  • Coordinate work that touches Ontology, OSDK, Workshop/Slate/Maven; align object models, pipelines, and delivery milestones with engineering.
  • Coordinate integrations to Lattice; schedule adapter work, authN/Z, and low-latency interop milestones across sensors/effectors and C2 workflows.
  • Drive fielding plans, training, documentation, and handoffs to support/operations.
  • Collaborate with line managers to forecast demand and secure capacity; onboard personnel and manage access.
