About this job: Manages facility design and construction projects for the District Bond program, overseeing design teams and contractors. Responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating, evaluating, and directing specific projects in specialized areas such as mechanical and electrical engineering, HVAC, environmental engineering, landscaping, and other contracted services. Ensures District buildings are safe, aesthetically pleasing, economically maintainable, energy-efficient, and fully functional to meet all program requirements. Adheres to established project management processes to ensure all projects meet scope, schedule, and budget requirements. Provides clear and thorough documentation and communication to all project stakeholders. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or related field; OR a minimum of five (5) years of project/construction management experience in place of a degree.
At least five (5) years of combined experience in architecture or engineering, and construction projects.
Minimum of three (3) years in a management role with both administrative and technical responsibilities.
Must hold and maintain a valid Colorado Driver’s License and meet District insurability standards.
Live and work with a permanent home address in Colorado while working with us.
Have the ability with or without accommodations to meet the physical demands of the position.
Proficient in typing/keyboarding.
Proficiency with Google Workspace, including Email, Scheduling, and Sheets.
Travel to district sites as needed (own vehicle required).
Knowledgeable in contracting design, estimating, business practices, and construction industry methods.

Nice To Haves

Master’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Expertise in construction, with a focus on mechanical systems, is preferred.
An Architect or Engineer license is desired.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Responsibilities

Assess and prioritize workload across multiple assignments.

Understand codes and permitting processes for local and state authorities.
Maintain complete and accurate project files following the district file structure.
Work closely with district facilities teams, PD&C team members, project stakeholders, and district leadership.
Interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents, troubleshoot issues, and adapt to change.
