About The Position

The Project Manager (Civil) for Land Development will oversee the full lifecycle of residential and commercial land development projects, from initial due diligence through site engineering and construction. This role requires managing budgets, coordinating with municipalities and contractors, and ensuring projects are executed efficiently and to the highest engineering standards. You will lead project teams, communicate effectively with clients, and provide technical guidance to ensure successful outcomes. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; Professional Engineering License in Indiana or eligibility via reciprocity.
  • 3–5+ years of progressive experience in civil engineering with a focus on land development projects.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills for client interactions and team collaboration.
  • Proven ability to think critically, manage time effectively, and solve complex engineering problems.
  • Competence in data analysis, organizational management, and independent as well as team-based work.
  • High ethical standards, commitment to professional growth, and ability to work in a deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise engineering work related to site design, permitting, and land development projects.
  • Interpret, organize, and execute complex engineering projects while coordinating multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Supervise engineers and CAD technicians, providing mentorship and technical expertise.
  • Scope project work, develop proposals, and manage budgets including forecasting, invoicing, and reporting.
  • Communicate proactively with clients to meet project objectives and expectations.
  • Collaborate with municipalities, reviewing agencies, and contractors to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Support internal reporting, documentation, and strategic planning for land development initiatives.
