About Us: Flanco are a growing civil contracting company servicing the mining & resources sector with various ongoing projects running nationwide with a Perth and Goldfields division. Flanco are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and coordinate the delivery of Flanco’s projects across various sites and divisions, ensuring outcomes are achieved on time, within budget, and in alignment with client expectations and company standards. The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing planning, execution, and reporting activities, while managing resources, risks, and stakeholder relationships. This role contributes to Flanco’s operational success and supports broader strategic goals within the Tasmea group. Our projects generally run from 3-6 months with crews moving from project to project providing variety and ongoing work. Common scope of works would be mills, crushers, concrete thickeners, conveyor footings and stockyards, tunnels, power stations and paste plants. Flanco runs lean on the ground with small to medium size crews from 5-30. About You: You will have knowledge and experience in a diverse range of construction types, such as detailed earthworks, concreting, formwork and steel fixing. This is a working role where you will be leading through action. Reporting directly to Company Directors, the successful candidate will act as a strong and positive example, always demonstrating guidance and leadership. You will be able to complete a project on time, focusing on quality and budget whilst ensuring and promoting a safe workplace. A proven track record in establishing and delivering mine infrastructure construction activities is essential as is a team focus and inclusive approach.

Requirements

  • Previous Project Management / Site Supervision experience
  • Experience in detailed earthworks, formwork and concreting
  • Strength in reading, interpreting & following plans
  • Clean National Police Clearance, or ability to obtain
  • Minimum Manual C Class Driver's License.
  • White Card
  • Willing to undertake a pre-employment medical and LAB Drug and Alcohol prior to start work and ongoing during employment

Nice To Haves

  • Quoting experience advantageous, not essential
  • Trade background advantageous (formwork carpentry and/or concrete)

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for multiple projects
  • Regularly engage and provide detailed reporting through to the executive management team
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential problems and lead contingency plans.
  • Attend tender briefings, site meetings, and client information sessions as required.
  • Collaborate with the estimating team during tender and handover phases to ensure accurate scope and pricing alignment.
  • Facilitate project kick-off meetings to establish scope, timeline, risks, success factors, and key deliverables.
  • Develop comprehensive project job packs, including ITPs, project plans, and site methodologies.
  • Schedule new works upon receipt of client purchase orders and ensure timely mobilisation.
  • Create and maintain Project Timelines and use relevant applications and tools to support planning, execution, and progress tracking.
  • Liaise with clients, supervisors, site administration and field staff to confirm project requirements and resolve issues.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and Flanco’s quality expectations throughout project delivery.
  • Proactively manage project risks and respond to issues to maintain client satisfaction and project continuity.
  • Monitor and report on project performance against financial, safety, and quality KPIs.
  • Maintain regular communication with the leadership team regarding project status and escalations.
  • Engage and manage subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely and quality delivery of services.
  • Coordinate with warehousing for purchasing and delivery of plant and materials to site.
  • Manage labour, plant, and material resources to meet project timelines and budget constraints.
