Your impact We're seeking an experienced and collaborative Project Manager with strong project controls capability to join our team in San Francisco, CA. This role is ideal for someone who not only understands complex construction - but can also take full ownership of project budgets, forecasting, cost reporting, and change management from day one. As a Project Manager embedded at the client's site, you will report directly to the Program Manager and work closely with a team of Project and Construction Managers. You'll lead the project from early planning through construction and closeout, ensuring alignment with program objectives. Beyond day-to-day project coordination, you will serve as the onsite Owner's Representative responsible for maintaining schedule, cost, quality, and compliance. You will provide field oversight, facilitate stakeholder communication, and resolve complex project issues, disputes, and technical challenges. As the onsite Owners Representative, you'll be responsible for ensuring not only the progress and technical performance of a project, but also: Own and manage the full project budget, including forecasting, cost tracking, accruals, and reporting. Lead the management and processing of all change events and change orders - scope validation, cost evaluation, negotiations, and recommendations for approval. Review contractors pay applications, validate progress, and ensure accurate cost alignment with field performance. Serve as the onsite Owner's Representative overseeing progress, quality, field operations, and compliance. Assist with schedule reviews, look-aheads, and progress validation; support recovery plans when required. Provide clear, accurate, and proactive reporting to the Program Manager and client leadership. Lead regular project meetings including OACs, financial reviews, and risk/challenge discussions. Build strong working relationships with the contractor, design team, inspectors, and client stakeholders. Support Jacobs' Global Integrated Delivery (GID) collaboration for cost, scheduling, and technical support. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 10+ years of project management and project controls experience supporting complex construction projects-healthcare, research, or similarly regulated facilities preferred.
  • Proven experience owning project budgets, cost controls, forecasts, and change management.
  • Strong knowledge of project delivery methods, contract management, financial controls, construction means and methods, and schedule management.
  • Experience with project management and cost control systems (Unifier, Procore, Oracle, etc.).

  • CCM, PMP, CM-Lean, DBIA, or PE certification

  • The base salary range for this position is $144,900.00 to $199,300.00.
  • Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
