About The Position

The company is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join a high-performing team focused on DOT and public infrastructure projects. This individual will play a key leadership role in managing the full lifecycle of asphalt, concrete, drainage, and pavement reclamation projects throughout the NYC area. The Project Manager will serve as the critical link between field operations and executive leadership—ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and in strict accordance with contract specifications.

Requirements

  • Proven experience managing DOT projects involving asphalt, concrete, drainage, and/or pavement reclamation
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field — or equivalent hands-on industry experience
  • Strong organizational and project management capabilities
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-project environment
  • Detail-oriented with a comprehensive understanding of project scope and contract requirements
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and industry-related software
  • Adaptability and ability to learn and integrate new systems and processes

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate communication between office and field teams to ensure seamless project execution
  • Partner closely with Project Superintendents and Engineers to maintain scope, schedule, and compliance
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors on scope changes and adjustments
  • Develop project-specific Maintenance & Protection of Traffic (MPT) plans
  • Prepare and manage submittals and approval documentation
  • Track and document field measurements for weekly unit pricing and quantity reporting
  • Submit monthly payment requisitions to agencies and relevant stakeholders
  • Manage and monitor project purchase orders in coordination with Accounts Payable
  • Support estimating efforts including time & material pricing and quantity takeoffs
  • Administer contractor and subcontractor agreements
  • Identify and help secure new project opportunities
  • Recommend value-engineering strategies to enhance project competitiveness
  • Maintain detailed and confidential project documentation
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned projects
