The Project Manager - Art Program at NYU Langone Health is responsible for overseeing the integration of contemporary artwork into the medical center's environment, enhancing the healing atmosphere for patients and staff. This role involves managing various aspects of the Art Program and Collection, including research, procurement, conservation, and exhibition management, while collaborating with artists, galleries, and other stakeholders.

  • Research and identify sites for integration of artwork and procure contemporary artwork for the main hospital campus and off-site facilities.
  • Manage communication with artists, galleries, and institutions for the acquisition of artwork.
  • Conduct research on emerging and established artists and artworks for various medical practices.
  • Oversee the Art Program conservation program, performing inspections and conservation treatments on artworks.
  • Assist in procuring art conservators and managing large-scale public art commissions and installations.
  • Manage the Art Collection inventory database of over 3,000 artworks using art management software.
  • Assist in managing the Art Program budget expenditures and project documentation.
  • Coordinate with artists, galleries, and vendors for the purchase, installation, and preservation of artworks.
  • Manage the NYU Langone Art Gallery, including research, curation, and exhibition logistics.
  • Design exhibition graphics and manage coordination with the NYU Langone Print Shop.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Art History, Fine Art, or Architecture.
  • 3-5 years' experience working in Art or Architecture.
  • Knowledge of the international art market.
  • Understanding of conservation, installation, and curating of artwork.
  • Expertise in Adobe Design Suite and Art Management software.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Advanced aesthetic sensibility and keen attention to detail.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Master's Degree in Arts Administration or Art History.
  • Healthcare Art Management experience.
  • Competitive salary range of $81,325.15 - $110,250.00 annually.
