The Project Manager and Planner at Lumen is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and successful delivery of large-scale projects related to the Company's fiber-optic network across North America. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, effective resource management, and the ability to deliver projects within defined scope, timeline, and budget constraints. The Project Manager/Planner III will lead internal deployments and manage external reporting, necessitating comfort in customer-facing roles and adaptability to a fast-paced, constantly changing environment. In this position, the Project Manager will create and oversee a detailed project plan that includes milestones, deliverables, and timelines, working closely with Project Controls and other teams to ensure updates are made as necessary. They will provide direct reporting and inputs to customers, lead frequent end-to-end deployments to allocate resources effectively, monitor progress, identify and mitigate risks, facilitate communication, ensure the quality of deliverables, and maintain a record of project status and updates. Additionally, the Project Manager will collaborate with the Project Controls and Finance teams to track costs against the project budget, ensuring overall cost management. Constant monitoring of project execution and progress against the project plan throughout the project lifecycle using project management tools and tracking is essential. The role demands the ability to deliver multiple objectives in a dynamic, multi-faceted, fast-paced environment, making strong organizational and communication skills critical for success.
